Gantt Feature in Zymmr

The Gantt feature in Zymmr provides a visual representation of project timelines and task relationships, offering a comprehensive view of project progress and schedules. Here are the key functionalities and features:

Key Functionalities​

  1. Filtering by Project:

    • Choose specific projects or multiple projects to include in the Gantt chart.
    • By default, the system uses a creation date filter of 60 days.

  2. View Options:

    • Day View: Displays tasks on a daily basis.
    • Week View: Displays tasks on a weekly basis.
    • Month View: Displays tasks on a monthly basis.
    • Release View: Provides an overview of tasks related to specific releases.

  3. Task Display:

    • Work items are shown with their start and end dates.
    • Overdue tasks are depicted in red.

  4. Task Relationships:

    • Relationships between tasks (dependencies) are visually represented.

  5. Color Customization:

    • Gantt colors can be customized under the Gantt Customization section in Settings.
    • Different colors are used to indicate the status of tasks:
      • Completed
      • Completed Late
      • In Progress
      • Overdue

Example Use Case​

  1. Scenario:

    • You need to review the timeline and dependencies of tasks for the "Mobile App Development" project.

  2. Steps:

    1. Filter by Project: Select the "Mobile App Development" project.
    2. Choose View: Opt for the "Month View" to get a broader overview of the project's progress.
    3. Review Task Display: Check the start and end dates of tasks, noting any that are overdue (highlighted in red).
    4. Analyze Task Relationships: Look at the dependencies between tasks to understand how delays might impact the project.
    5. Customize Colors: If necessary, adjust the color settings under Gantt Customization in Settings to better visualize different task statuses.

By utilizing the Gantt feature, you can efficiently monitor project timelines, understand task dependencies, and identify any delays or issues that need to be addressed to keep the project on track.
